What Is A Reliable CO Alarm?The Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends only alarms that meet Underwriters Laboratory Standard 2034. You'll know the alarm meets rigorous standards of performance, safety and accuracy when you see the UL/ULC seal on the product. All carbon monoxide alarms manufactured by American Sensors(TM) meet or exceed regulatory standards worldwide. This includes the latest standards developed by UL (Underwriter's Laboratories) and ULC (Underwriter's Laboratories Canada). UL2034 (as of 1999) directs that carbon monoxide alarms: 1. will go into full level, hazard alarm in 60 to 240 minutes at exposures of 70 ppm 2. will go into full level, hazard alarm in 10 to 50 minutes at exposures of 150 ppm 3. will go into full level, hazard alarm in 4 to 15 minutes at exposures of 400 ppm | |||||||||
