FOAM Fire Extinguishers are required to ship uncharged. The units require a valve and an adapter to connect to the unit and thus pressurize with a compressor. The units can be purchased without these items if you take the fire extinguisher to a local fire extinguisher service firm (will fill/charge the unit for you, usually for free). It is VERY easy to charge these fire extinguishers.
