The Universal CO9690 is a direct plug in carbon monoxide detector with Advanced Digital Display and Battery Back-Up. It is powered by 120VAC and it is designed to be a free standing single station carbon monoxide alarm. The unit is suitable for residential and commercial dwellings (motels, hotels, medical institutions, and all types of multi-family structures) defined by NFPA 720. The CO9690 utilizes a permanent superior tinoxide sensor, a 85dB horn, a test/retest button, and an LED power indicator. Simply plug the unit into a standard outlet.

The CO9690 comes equipped with a top-drawer battery compartment for easy battery back-up access without removing the alarm from the wall outlet. If the battery needs replacing, the CO9690 will 'chirp' in addition to visually flashing the LOW POWER LED. In the event of a power-failure in the home, the CO9690 will continue providing ultimate 'CARBON MONOXIDE' protection by drawing its power from the included 9-volt heavy duty battery back-up.
