    The American Sensors 120 volt Hardwire Smoke Detector with battery back-up power and Alarm Pause Silencer is an AC line powered device incorporating two popular options. The 9 volt battery provides power to the unit during power line failures and the Alarm Pause Silencer option decreases the sensitivity of the alarm for 10 minutes thereby reducing the number of 'nuisance' alarms. Up to 12 units can be interconnected for simultaneous warning.
